ArcWeb Services provides a Web services platform for developers looking to integrate mapping, GIS content and capabilities into applications or ArcGIS-on demand. With ArcWeb Services, ESRI maintains the hosting and maintenance of the mapping datasets; you don't have to.

ArcWeb Services provides three different categories of Web services:

ArcWeb Services-Commercial Services offers a rich set of API-based Web services for businesses and government. Through these Web services, Web and application developers, IT professionals, and GIS professionals have access to one of the industry's most complete mapping and spatial data sets available today.

ArcWeb Services-Public Services provides a no-cost subset of ArcWeb Services-Commercial Services' functionality and data for personal, noncommercial, and nongovernmental development projects.

ArcWeb Services-Focused Solutions are commercial applications built by ESRI using ArcWeb Services. These applications are available through a subscription download.
