1. JavaScript/HTML 5 Developers

Blue Raster has immediate openings for experienced and beginning JavaScript Developers in the Washington DC area. You will join our Arlington, VA based team, supporting the development of interactive web mapping applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting public-facing web mapping sites and applications through concept, design, and implementation phases
  • Maintaining knowledge of current trends in web application development
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developing JavaScript applications or experience working with popular web APIs — provide URLs/screenshots in your response
  • Familiarity with current trends in social media and contemporary web concepts
  • Desire to explore new technologies in a dynamic industry

2. GIS Web Application Developers

Blue Raster has immediate openings for GIS Web Application Developers in the Washington DC area. You will join our Arlington, VA based team to develop interactive web mapping applications for rich clients such as JavaScript, Native Mobile or Adobe Flex.

Responsibilities:
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining public-facing web mapping sites and applications through concept, design, and implementation phases
  • Maintaining knowledge of current trends in web application development
  • Preparing software requirement specifications, system design documents, and interface design documents
  • Working with existing design templates to maintain corporate branding and image including implementation of specified standards
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developing rich applications — provide URLs/screenshots in your response
  • Experience in developing GIS software applications (Web & Desktop) on ESRI platform using ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Desktop
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Experience with XML
