Michael Lippmann

Principal/Founder

Mr. Lippmann has 17 years of experience in management of Enterprise web application development and internet GIS mapping systems. Since 2002, Mr. Lippmann has managed information technology (IT) projects at Blue Raster LLC. He currently manages all aspects of web application, web geographic information system (GIS) development, and system architecture support.

Mr. Lippmann has broad experience with numerous Federal agencies including Department of Education, Department of Energy, Smithsonian and Non-Profits such as the Association of American Geographers, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, International Union for Conservation of Nature, ICF International, National Geographic, World Bank, World Resources Institute, and World Wildlife Fund. He has managed the design, development and deployment of many award winning interactive mapping/GIS and database-driven web applications. He is an expert on Amazon Cloud computing and deploying systems including ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Online. His background also includes solid waste management and recycling policy (RCRA) web projects and conducting multiple survey-based research projects (including survey design and development, sampling, administration, data compilation and analysis, and development of results and recommendations).

Prior to founding Blue Raster, Mr. Lippmann was a U.S. EPA fellow where he assisted with policy analysis of innovative technology provisions.
